2020 - The Year of Blackmoor - 50th Anniversary - Day Fifteen

Celebrating 2020 - The Year of Blackmoor - 50th Anniversary!

Some of you are familiar with the Secrets of Blackmoor- The True History of Dungeons & Dragons; however, not all of you may be familiar with all the parts of the Kickstarter.

Another part of the Kickstarter, a part that I am particularly interested in is the Hard Bound 1st Edition Tonisborg Dungeon Module Book. Look on the page under Campaign for this info:
The Lost Dungeons of Tonisborg were unearthed during the filming of Secrets of Blackmoor. Originally created by Greg Svenson in 1973, it is one of the oldest mega dungeons still in existence. Greg is also the second person to be a referee in a Fantasy RPG.
Support us at the 6th level and you will receive your own hard bound Deluxe Edition copy of this illustrious dungeon module.

Published by Judges Guild Game Company & Secrets of Blackmoor, it comes with the complete dungeon, playing guidelines, and a complete set of old school rules - Champions of Zed by Daniel Boggs, which brings together the rules of original style play, scattered across many sources, into a single carefully edited work. With original artwork by Bob Bledsaw. Limited 1st Edition is 500 copies only.
They also said:

It is written so that a novice can learn to play, yet we've put some old gamer wisdom into the book that even experienced grognards will appreciate.
An extended amount of additional information is at this link:where they say:
The manuscript is finished. More artwork is being made as we speak. We cannot tell you the final page count until it is laid out, yet the draft is over 300 pages long.
So I eagerly await notice that it is being shipped.

They also said:
As an added bonus, we will be creating a forum for Tonisborg Dungeon owners only. It will likely be hosted by Havard at the Comeback Inn, and will be a place where we can all gather to share secret game master ideas with each other.
As you can guess I am also awaiting this forum going live. I do not know the time frame on the book or the forum, but am eager for both.  Hoping that it will not be a long wait for a 2nd Edition for those who were not part of the Kickstarter. Maybe they will bring it out when they do the next DVD in the series. I will post an update to this when I get the book and when I have more news on this to share.
